Observing Report July 19 2020
Site: Okanagan Observatory
Took two new visitors to the site around 9:30pm. We were able to see Comet NEOWISE in binos and later on naked eye.
Other objects included M27, M31, Swan Nebula, Jupiter and Saturn. Also we had a 11:09 ISS flyby noticed by a guest. By 11:30pm the Milky Way popped out.
The Dumbbell Nebula (also known as Apple Core Nebula, Messier 27, M 27, or NGC 6853) is a planetary nebula in the constellation Vulpecula, at a distance of about 1227 light-years.
